This converted Romanesque church commissioned by Thomas Cornell in the 1800’s is sure to turn your celebration into a truly unforgettable experience. Located just up the hill from Cornell Park in the historic Rondout neighborhood of Kingston NY it hosts up to 12 people and can comfortably accommodate gatherings of up to 35. The church features 5 bedrooms plus a Dutch sleeping cupboard and a daybed in the great hall (8 beds in total). There are 5 full bathrooms and a large kitchen with many historic features like the 8 burner cast iron stove beloved by many a chef plus a large central farm table, perfect for gathering with your loved ones. The great hall has 24’ ceilings, a 16’ farm table that seats 15-20, arched windows, a Steinway grand piano and a Juliet balcony. The courtyard is a private walled garden with ivy and wisteria climbing the walls.

The farm table weaves an organic feel back into the classic setting, and is perfectly bare, waiting for your design vision to renew it. Take a look in the bedrooms and you will find elegance around every corner.  Cuddle up with one of the many books available throughout the home. Cook a meal with the whole family, or bring back something from one of the many restaurants within walking distance.
